To friends and family, she is known simply as Jenny. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2017 after earning her law degree from Birmingham School of Law. She is an alumnus of the University of Alabama where she earned her undergraduate degree in History with a minor in Sociology. Before joining The Alabama Elder Care Law Firm, she gained legal experience working as a paralegal in insurance defense where she quickly realized litigation was not what she wanted to practice.
Jenny strives for a client-centered practice focused solely on estate planning, elder law, and probate. She understands the importance of working closely with clients to help them feel comfortable in navigating both simple and complicated issues. She grew up in a small town in St. Clair County where she ultimately decided to stay. Being a part of a small-town community shaped her to become passionate about helping people and is what drove her not only to this profession, but specifically this area of law.
She is an active volunteer in her community where she has spent many years fundraising for her local American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. From 2011 through about 2017, she played an important part in a seasonal production as a volunteer for Children’s Charities, Inc. of Alabama. She has spent countless hours volunteering with local animal rescue groups determined to make a difference in our furry friend’s lives as well, and wishes she had more time still to devote to this. Most recently, Jenny spent time on the Board of Directors for Pathways, a local women’s and children’s homeless shelter in downtown Birmingham, focused on helping homeless women and children find their new path in life.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her baby girl, husband, and fur-baby. Their favorite activity is leisurely kayaking the small creeks throughout Alabama, as it allows her to be outdoors and disconnect from a busy lifestyle.
